For attention-grabbing, audience-attracting, sales-making imagery & copy.
For the courage to be visible. For relationship builders. For big-hearted helpers. For ballsy bitches. For space-takers. For path forgers. For small business that thrives . For celebration.
For ambitious entrepreneurs shaking up your industry and owning your visibility, your way.Â
I’m Éadaoin Curtin and I’m a feminist photographer, educator & copywriter.
I help you dare to be seen without feeling the need for performance, perfectionism or fear of (self) judgement.
I work with leaders and creatives who want the excitement and success that comes with being visible in their business just as they are – not in spite of how they look or the way they work, but because of it.Â
Since 2017, I’ve helped hundreds of artists, coaches, creatives and other glorious service providers dare to be seen through my photo-shoot prep course and in personal brand photo shoots. In 2024 I added another aspect of the ‘Yes, this is it, this is me!’ work to include copy writing services for the very same kinds of people.Â

I do this work because so many people, especially women and marginalised people, feel that they don’t have a right to be seen or heard – that their visibility is unwelcome and irrelevant.
I want to help right the wrongs of so many photographers who’ve done harm, to give principled and powerful entrepreneurs the opportunity to be even more successful in their business with beautiful and compelling photographs that stop the scroll and draw their dream clients in. And then, when they’ve stopped, when they’re ready to listen and learn, what they read will match what they see (no more bland paragraphs, no more conformative copy – instead, powerful words that attract your truest collaborators).
Trust and connection comes so easily when you understand that you have the right to be seen, and the power to shape how you show up.
(And I do this work because helping other incredible businesses succeed is one of the most exciting things I can imagine.)
My clients are ambitious business owners working to challenge the status quo – for themselves, their industry and our collective good.Â
These compelling photographs together with thrilling copy make it so easy for my clients to sell their work, to create community and to be visible in their business and their industry.Â
MY WORK IS GROUNDED IN:
Finding interesting, thoughtful and unique answers to your specific brand visibility requirements. My honours degree in interior design and years of experience in architectural practices means that the why and the how of every aspect of every shoot is informed by my training in creative problem-solving, fluency in visual language/ semiotics and understanding of the built environment.
Teaching – I’m a trained ESL teacher and worked for 6 years in schools in Dublin. I love teaching and I love that I get to empower through education in my Dare To Be Seen methodology.
An understanding of the world of personal branding from the inside out, I’ve been learning and unlearning this industry since 2009. Which means that I am doing my best to recognise a trope when I see one, question everything we make together and when we do use a visual or linguistic shortcut, (ie a ‘done thing’) we’ll do it because we mean to.
Organisations and campaigns I’ve actively supported include REPEAL, LauraLynn Foundation, Let’s Match Mums, Entheos Ireland, and Pals for Palestine.
I want you to know these things because I want you to know that my work is analytical, it is political and it is craft.
dARE TO BE SEEN…
I want you to love, love, LOVE your photographs.
I want you to know that yes, YOU are photogenic.Â
I want you to treat your visibility the way you treat your work – disrupt the narrative, question convention and defy expectations.
I want you to take powerful responsibility for your own image and to own your visibility.Â
I want you to say no to fitting in to someone else’s narrow-minded idea of success.Â
I want you to make selling an easy, mutual yes with images and copy that compels your dream client.
I want you to have a brand that is so deeply, congruently you that it speaks for itself.Â
I want you to know that counter-cultural images can still be beautiful and power is a great look on you.
I want you to have more than mediocre selfies or photos that are way out of date.
I want to remind you that your audience will spend more time looking at your photo than reading your bio. (But if your bio isn’t congruent with your photos, your audience will get the ‘ick and run away.)
I WANT YOU TO DARE TO BE SEEN, AND I’M HERE TO HELP YOU DO IT.Â

Some other things:Â
I have the word ‘truth’ in Ogham tattooed down my spine.Â
I don’t have any pets but growing up we had a brown dog named Brownie and a terrapin named Terrie…Â
I drink tea only in times of physical or emotional crisis, with a lot of sugar.Â
As a first-born daughter in a rural Irish community with very egalitarian parents I’m constantly caught in the good girl/ f**k the patriarchy dichotomy.
My first camera was a Pentax ME Super that’s two years older than me.Â
I grew up shooting film – the first full roll I ever shot was at a family wedding and I forgot to take the lens cap off. I still do, regularly, but luckily my digital camera won’t work ‘til it’s off.Â
In April & May 2020 I photographed almost 50 people in their own homes via Zoom (see below).Â
The best gig I’ve ever been to was Skunk Anansie in Glasgow in 2019.Â
I learned the craft of photography through shooting hundreds of gigs on Dublin’s grunge scene in the 2010s (& My husband is a musician, in a grunge band, in Dublin).
After my first son was born in 2020, I managed to avoid mirrors for almost a whole year – it was the returning to myself and seeing myself that helped define and refine my ‘dare to be seen’ framework. Â
Influences and teachers:
I have been greatly, and gratefully, influenced by the teaching, coaching & mentoring of Tara Prendergast, Kathleen Shannon, Bear Hébert, Kelly Diels, Kate O’Dwyer, Kristen Kalp and Amanda Grace.Â
In case you missed it, my values include:
Liberty, respect, inclusion, creativity, collaboration, sharing power and knowledge, equality, body autonomy, championing small business, courage, integrity, connection, community, rebellion and celebration.
I am constantly challenging my own visibility and if you’re ready, I’m here to dare you to be seen too.Â
