There is no cost to enter and the photoshoot will be free of charge.
The photoshoot (worth €250) will take place at a pre-agreed location with Firechild Photography.
The shoot will last between 1 and 2 hours.
The couple will recieve an online gallery of approx. 30 images (web only) and a complimentary 5×7″ print.
I will choose a shortlist of couples, and from that shortlist, invite public votes on Firechild Photography’s Facebook page to choose the final 3 couples.
Why have an engagement shoot?
You get great photos of you both together – no stiff poses, no jagged smiles, no selfie arm, no wincing while you wait for someone to take the damn photo…
It’s a proper celebration – with just the two of you.
It’s great preparation for your wedding portraits.
Why ARE YOU GIVING THIS AWAY FOR FREE?
This is my anti-Valentine’s day thing. I hate the commerciality around Valentine’s day, but I love the idea of giving a gift – a gift of connection, and quality time…
It’s been a long winter and I’m really itching to get out with my camera again, adventure with awesome people and get creative behind the lens.
This is a two-way deal, of course. I want to get some awesome new promo images from these shoots and will use the images we make online and in print.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
details
A photoshoot at a pre-agreed location worth €250 with Éadaoin of Firechild Photography.
The shoot will last between 1 and 2 hours.
The couple will recieve an online gallery (web only) of approx. 30 images and a complimentary 5×7″ print.
The option to purchase futher prints will be available.
I will choose a shortlist of couples, and from that shortlist, invite public votes on Firechild Photography’s Facebook page to choose the final 3 couples.
Entry compliance:
- Competition is open to engaged couples only.
- Competition will be open for entries between February 24th and March 8th.
- An entry is only deemed complete when questionnaire is fully answered.
- Firechild Photography will validate all entries and will determine, at its sole discretion, whether each entry meets the entry criteria detailed herein for acceptance as an entry into the contest.
- Firechild Photography will score the shortlisted entries according to the following criteria:
Completeness – How committed is the entrant to the process?
Personality – Firechild Photography is a bespoke service, Firechild Photography reserves the right to offer engagement shoots to couples with whom its values and characters are aligned. - Potential winners will be chosen based on quality of questionnaire answers and final winners will be chosen by public vote via Firechild Photography’s Facebook page.
- Automated entries of any kind, including but not limited to entries submitted using any bot, script, macro, or contest service, and third party entries are not permitted and will be disqualified.
- Firechild Photography is under no obligation to detail the short-listing or the judging process.
- Although not anticipated, competition rules and terms may be changed or altered at any time.
- You authorise Firechild Photography to send emails and notifications to the email address submitted.
Acceptance of shoot:
- Engagement shoot will take place at an agreed location within 60 miles of Dublin city.
- Couple must be available to participate in the shoot before 11th June 2017.
- Images submitted as part of contest entry and resulting from engagement shoot may be used as marketing material by Firechild Photography in print, social media and online.
- No cash alternative or substitution for shoot available.
- Entrants agree that Firechild Photography and related individuals or entities shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance of the shoot, participation in the contest, individual, joint or collective technical malfunctions of online questionnaire or photographic equipment.
- The competition winners will be formally notified by e-mail, post or telephone no later than March 24th 2017.
- If you are selected as a winner and are unable to accept, you cannot transfer the shoot or designate someone else as the winner.
- If you are unable or unwilling to participate in the shoot, we will award it to the next highest scoring entrant.
- If you accept the shoot, you will be solely responsible for any costs associated with accepting the shoot, ie. your travel and any entrance fees related to accepting the shoot.Disclaimer: Facebook is in no way affiliated or connected with this contest.
